Its not what you know

Close your Eyes
What do you see
Far beneath the trees
is an open of life to thee
You have the option
to shut this out
What do you choose?

Someone once told me "It's not what you know, its how you execute it". It sounds simple in context but if you truly think about it, it means a lot more than whats apparent. Example, you can know everything there is to know about lighting, cameras, flashes and set ups, but if you cant lose your pride when you step behing the camera then you can accomplish nothing. Whether your photographing a train or a baby the principles are the same.
Its about connecting with your subject and searching for what is not seen. Its about looking past the surface and searching for the relation between you and your subject. Connect, Lose your pride and make a memory.

Meter

Fall
Keep falling
Release your weight
take no time to hesitate
Keep falling
Reach
Keep reaching
reach out to heights not seen by sights
keep reaching
Theres a love of a special kind
not known to human mind
that when we touch without time we take it slow
let there not be such
as a mediocre night together
In an embrace so binding
without shutters of light
too alone here for words
despite the evening we are dear
An autobiography of cosmic time
