Wasting Time

When I speak a thousand words meaning nil
float through you
I sat down and counted the unlucky numbers
what was the equation that was so far out of sight
Like a birds wings soaring high
I pretend that its at flight for evermore
You said to have faith its all coming together
sometimes I sit and stay for another round once more
I took your promise, with this fate in hand
looking down to keep what’s out of sight in mind
All we have is time and all we want is more
we waste each other with the tomorrows
because goodbye could be tonight
A tap of the foot and a heart in a soul
lives on longer than one may think
who’s listening to unspoken words?
Watching the spirits pass with the music spreading ground
Lets sit down and we'll search the ground
for the love we threw behind

Getting Colder

Dark nights bring all my answers
I've never felt so alone than in a crowded hall
Breath against me, get closer to the test
Were so different, we stand apart from the rest
Slow the car, were treading too fast
The world is beautiful if only the days were meant to last
Colors are blinding they hold the key in their hands
Ocean waters cant breath without the air of the sands
Im so good at being scared
scarlett letter to thee
it's like a strain at heart
still so far apart

Light Matters

Question? Should we genetically engineer humans to be able to digest cellulose for a benefit?
Generations from now children will not only be genetically engineered to be beautiful, cancer free and have great DNA but they will also have genetically enhanced plants and animals surrounding them. In a world from now, Golden Retrievers may live for 20+ years thanks in part to their perfect gene codes. Not only will they live for a decade longer but their leg length will actually match with the size of their heads. This same will be true for the people of the world. You will be able to pick your childs gender, eye color, whether or not their tan or fair and how tall they will be. These children will know no different from these new engineers just as you and I have not known any different from electricity and television. So should we leave the science methods to the soils and never use genetic engineering? What if it was able to save a million of lives a year? What if no child would ever die of Luekemia again? Then would you change your mind? I forsee a perfect world of the future - that's not so perfect.
