Getting Closer

Time it flies
through the mind that lies
closed off to the world outside
It will change with time
Dont you see, im still me
But the novelty is wore
and the binds that tie are torn
It changes everyday
Whos to say what stays the same
The poems, they faded and smiles seem so jaded
Were on a path for forever more
Within years, its a past
You told me we were meant to last
Whos to say you break a promise
Immune to the feelings of a broken heart
Like a fine line of affection splitting apart

Doctor Doctor

Im afraid of whats not known
whats not being shown
to the people here
Im aching at the thought of the needles poking
and the lights reflecting
Please be patient there is no cure
only more medicine why? were not real sure.
Just drink it fast you wont taste a thing
Soon you'll feel nothing only a lite sting
The wounds are hidden behind the clothes we wear
The remedies last for days then fade
close your eyes dont be afraid

Wasting Time

When I speak a thousand words meaning nil
float through you
I sat down and counted the unlucky numbers
what was the equation that was so far out of sight
Like a birds wings soaring high
I pretend that its at flight for evermore
You said to have faith its all coming together
sometimes I sit and stay for another round once more
I took your promise, with this fate in hand
looking down to keep what’s out of sight in mind
All we have is time and all we want is more
we waste each other with the tomorrows
because goodbye could be tonight
A tap of the foot and a heart in a soul
lives on longer than one may think
who’s listening to unspoken words?
Watching the spirits pass with the music spreading ground
Lets sit down and we'll search the ground
for the love we threw behind

Getting Colder

Dark nights bring all my answers
I've never felt so alone than in a crowded hall
Breath against me, get closer to the test
Were so different, we stand apart from the rest
Slow the car, were treading too fast
The world is beautiful if only the days were meant to last
Colors are blinding they hold the key in their hands
Ocean waters cant breath without the air of the sands
Im so good at being scared
scarlett letter to thee
it's like a strain at heart
still so far apart

Light Matters

Question? Should we genetically engineer humans to be able to digest cellulose for a benefit?
Generations from now children will not only be genetically engineered to be beautiful, cancer free and have great DNA but they will also have genetically enhanced plants and animals surrounding them. In a world from now, Golden Retrievers may live for 20+ years thanks in part to their perfect gene codes. Not only will they live for a decade longer but their leg length will actually match with the size of their heads. This same will be true for the people of the world. You will be able to pick your childs gender, eye color, whether or not their tan or fair and how tall they will be. These children will know no different from these new engineers just as you and I have not known any different from electricity and television. So should we leave the science methods to the soils and never use genetic engineering? What if it was able to save a million of lives a year? What if no child would ever die of Luekemia again? Then would you change your mind? I forsee a perfect world of the future - that's not so perfect.

A picture Place

And so you thought you knew all to know
maybe believed it ought to show

Summers passed
winds blow in the leaves, they swirl
The light of blue
turning the new to bloom
You were the girl next door
now old news falls pages before
Careful with your thinking
young one you'll see
that Loves not all its talked up to be
Girl forget that you can stray
no matter how hurt you'll
feel obliged to stay
Barely of Age you sow
your way
Tred Lightly ...

This is a battle

Every deed is seen

Did you laugh when you heard
what you have just now learned
Were the tears that you cried
all part of how you lied
Throw them back like a kite flown by
let em take what is owed by now
what you need what you want
its so far from out of reach
its all with the passing sky
and its all about never saying goodbye
Hold to what you know
what you have, what you sow
hold on tight and never let go

Holding

I saw a liar and a cheat
How excited we were to meet
That led to breaking the parts between us
In the eyes of the street
Where the tulips bloomed like seeds of dreams
Into the night kissing goodbye
Have fun leaving this behind

It’s capable to keep this forever in mind
Forgiving is letting go, dont let it show
We cut the ties to let lives fly
Now you want to come back down below

Sail away forever putting it past
How am I supposed to forget this notion?
It may just be the feeling of a tug
The worlds all too big to grasp
Lye in the corner and count your meter
We know your failing too

Someday you’ll regret what you longed to do
Forgiving is letting go, so I’m hanging on
hanging on
